Traffic Cop slapped by impatient mother

An impatient mother when got stuck at a traffic stop & was running late for her son’s school, slapped a cop in Kolkatta city in West Bengal State of India.

Susmita Chandra (33) was taking her son to school when she got stuck at Cossipore crossing on BT Road at 10.30 am. After fuming for a while, she decided to investigate the reason for the jam. At the head of the bumper-to-bumper gridlock stood a taxi driver and a motorcyclist, fighting over a minor collision. Traffic constable Abdul Mannan Mullick stood some distance away.

Susmita went up to Mullick and allegedly shouted at him for "standing mute in the middle of the road". The constable also said something in reply, after which she slapped him across the face.

As per one eyewitness, Susmita seemed "extremely agitated" at being stuck in the jam and shouted at Mullick. "The cop was initially stunned by the slap. On seeing the woman rush across to the other side of the road, he blocked her way and contacted the traffic guard," he said.

This act of her's has landed her in jail for four days.
